[913] Date: Fri, 26 Dec 2003 15:38:20 -0500 Dear Brian, I'm sorry to have to reply to your nice Xmas wishes letter with the news that Bob died last night. I picked him up yesterday afternoon ( Xmas Day) to spend the day with family. We were having a buffet get together at my son, Darryl and wife, Kim, house...and Bob had expressed a desire to be with us. Everything went well....he ate well, joined in some laughter, and visited with the kin there. However, after 3 1/2 hrs he wanted to go home, and we did so....but I noticed he seemed exhausted and out of breath. After settling him in his room and telling him to use his neck buzzer if he needed help, I left to return to the family gathering. A couple hours later I phoned him to check on him. After getting no response we returned to the Assisted Living facility and found him dead watching T.V. He went peacefully, and for that I'm grateful. His body was donated to science (his wishes) and there will be no funeral service, as such....but I am planning a memorial service for next Saturday, I think. There is so much to do, but most of the work will be done by his attorney. I just wanted you to know of his passing. I enjoyed reading your last email telling, but I did not find that brief family newsletter that you said followed. Perhaps I do not know how to access it.
